Nowadays, all smartphones are Dual Sim phones, even Apple company started their Dual Sim phone too recently! And some companies even offering Three sim slots too! 😀
So most of us use 2 sim cards on our smartphones! And some of us might be wondering that if we have 2 different numbers on our phone, then why can’t we have 2 different Whatsapp Accounts on the same phone?
And guys, I bet you won’t believe this …….
I remember a friend of mine purchased a separate smartphone for just using another WhatsApp account for his office number! I was shocked by hearing it! :/
And many of us have different privacy reasons for having 2 different WhatsApp accounts, like for example, someone may don’t want to share their Status updates with their office mates, or someone doesn’t want to get seen ‘Online’ by their office colleagues! So the reasons can be anything and luckily we have a simple solution for these all problems!
So do you want two different WhatsApp accounts in 1 android smartphone? Maybe a separate WhatsApp account for your Office and separate WhatsApp account for your personal life or whatever the case it may be!
If so, then you came to the right place, in this blog post you’ll learn How to use Two Whatsapp Accounts in One Phone! Within just a matter of a few minutes, you’ll start having a Second WhatsApp account in your phone without disturbing your 1st WhatsApp account under any case!
Using 2 Different Whatsapp Accounts in 1 Android Phone:
Here, there are 2 solutions.
a) Using pre-installed feature in our phone [Dual apps or App cloning etc]
[ or ]
b) Using 3rd party app from Google Play store
Coming to the 1st method, nowadays most of the smartphone companies are providing this feature as Default Feature in the phones! This Feature is named differently in different smartphones. Xiaomi Mobiles call it “Dual Apps”, Oneplus mobile call it “Parallel apps”, and some other companies call it “App cloning” or “App twin”.
Names may be different, but functioning is the same in all the phones!
So identify that feature in your smartphone now in your phone settings, so that we can proceed with the tutorial right away!
And don’t worry, even if your smartphone doesn’t have that feature, we can do this process by installing a 3rd party app from the Google Play store which I am gonna discuss in the ending of this post below!
ok, so I’m assuming that you already have WhatsApp installed on your phone, or else you can Install WhatsApp from Play Store. [This is the “Primary account I’m talking about]
So Let’s set up the Secondary WhatsApp account in your phone
Using Pre-installed feature in our phone:
- Go to your phone’s Settings.
- Look for Dual App/App Twin/Clone app and tap on it. (I’m using a Xiaomi Mobile for this tutorial!)
Now you will see a list of apps that support this feature. So select “WhatsApp” here.
4. Now it’ll ask for some permissions to allow, so allow them. So finally you have created your Secondary WhatsApp account on your smartphone
5. So now go to the list of apps on your phone and find the Secondary WhatsApp icon, and click on it
6. Now it may ask you to Setup the account and this setup process is same like how you did for your Primary Whatsapp account earlier!
So that’s it! This will allows you to run two WhatsApp accounts with two different phone numbers on one phone.
Using 3rd party app from Google Play store:
If your phone doesn’t have the pre-installed feature called App Cloning or Dual Apps or App Twin or Clone App etc, then you can install a 3rd app from Google Play store called “Parallel Apps”
This Application will clone/duplicate the given app into 2 separate apps without disturbing the 1st app!
Note that you’ll still need a dual-SIM mobile phone for verification purpose and in order to send and receive messages on your second WhatsApp account!
Also 1 more important thing, every time you need to open the “Parallel Apps” app on your phone in order to use your second WhatsApp account!
so let’s get into the procedure,
- Install the “Parallel Apps” app on your phone by clicking this link here
- Now it’ll ask for some permissions to allow, so allow it
- Later you’ll be asked to select which app should be cloned. So you have to select “WhatsApp” here and continue
- So once “WhatsApp” app is cloned, in order to set up the account, you will be asked to allow some permissions, so allow it. Don’t worry, this is safe only!
So that’s it! You’ve created your Secondary WhatsApp account!
Note that this “Parallel Apps” app is free but it contains Ads, although ads can be removed by buying with a premium subscription in the app. Rates are cheap only! It’s Rs. 30 per month, Rs. 50 for three months, Rs. 80 for six, and Rs. 150 for a lifetime subscription. Once again, this “Parallel Apps” can also be used for other apps like Facebook and Instagram too on your phone in order to use Secondary accounts there too.
There are other similar apps too like “Parallel Apps” in Google Play store, but all contain “Ads” just like this one, so I’ve chosen this one as this has good fame compared to rest similar apps!
So that’s it
